Please allow 75 minutes for your entire appointment. This includes parking, our initial consultation (for first time clients) or a follow up consultation (for return clients), treatment duration (up to 50 minutes) and toilet time at the end. We ask that you arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment so we can ensure the space is perfectly prepared for you. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment it will be forfeited and your deposit will be lost.

How long will my session take?

Good and bad bacteria are both removed during the treatment, however they both replenish themselves quickly, creating a more balanced and favourable environment for the beneficial bacteria to thrive in.

It’s important to understand that both good and bad bacteria are beneficial and essential parts of the microbiome and our digestive system cannot function optimally or remain in balance without them.

Therefore true gut health is finding balance and maintaining harmony with all the bacteria.

Does Colonic Irrigation affect the balance of good and bad bacteria?

No, when facilitated correctly colonics should not be painful. At times some people do experience mild cramping and discomfort due to gas pockets and waste compaction in the lower area of the colon but these symptoms dissolve once the body starts releasing the gas, waste and toxins.

Who is colonic irrigation best suited for?

NO! Both pregnancy and breastfeeding are sensitive periods where the body is working at capacity to support the growth and development of another life. Additionally, the foetus and baby are vulnerable to any changes or increased toxin exposure within the mother’s system. Therefore, detoxification processes that mobilise waste and toxins are generally considered unsafe, as these substances may come into contact with the foetus or nursing baby.

Can I have a colonic if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

What should I expect after a Colonic Irrigation session?

After a session, most clients feel a sense of increased energy and relaxation. The small percentage of people who feel tired and lethargic may just need to rest due to a higher toxic loads being released during the session. Continued hydration and a good nights sleep will have you feeling clearer, calmer and re-energised again. It's also not uncommon to experience deeper emotional releases as your body eliminates toxins, so being mindful of what comes up and allowing space to process it, is an important part of the cleansing process.

Colonic Irrigation is best suited to individuals aged 18 and above. However, in some cases, girls 16 years and above can have a colonic irrigation treatment done. This requires a mature understanding of the treatment process and a clear cause of symptoms must be discussed with the practitioner prior to booking.

Are there any dietary recommendations post Colonic Irrigation?

Yes, it's recommended to drink plenty of water, eat light, easy-to-digest foods like vegetable soups and steamed vegetables and to rest, as required. Also, avoid rich, spicy, sugary and greasy foods and raw vegetables immediately after the session is also advisable. Alcohol should be avoided after a colonic as well because it can dehydrate the body and interfere with the post treatment recovery process.
